OUR STORY
We started our Glen Ellen, California, agave farm in 2020 with a mission to make world class, distinct agave spirits. Our farm is located in the Moon Mountain AVA (American Viticultural Area), a tiny, elevated wine-producing appellation nestled in the Mayacamas mountains overlooking Sonoma Valley. Our farm has rocky, volcanic soils, hot summer days cooled by Pacific Ocean breezes at night, oak and madrone forests, and cool, wet winters. We adore agave spirits of all kinds, and we strongly believe that our terroir will produce agave spirits of quality, structure, and nuance. We were one of the first growers to plant agave in California for spirits production, planting over 30 varieties in a wild experiment to see what might grow well in our climate and soils. Our goal is to help grow the knowledge and experience critical for developing an agave spirits industry in California and the United States. We are active members of the California Agave Council, where Laurie currently serves on the Board, and are working with UC Davis as part of their grant-funded research project on agave farming throughout California.
